HabiStore Volunteers have huge impact

marina2 “I love helping people and this has changed my life,” Marina Blanco said about her involvement and continuous dedication at the HabiStore here in Tucson.

Marina  has helped our team for the last four months and her work has left an impression on everyone here. Marina, a volunteer and intern at HabiStore, has devoted 25 hours+ a week to be a part of our hardworking team. When she is not helping people at the HabiStore, she is a full time student at Carrington College. She is pursuing a career as a dental hygienist.

Between being a part of the HabiStore team and helping out at the build site, she has fallen in love with Habitat for Humanity Tucson and the mission of helping build a stronger community.

“My favorite moment is closing time when all the volunteers get to hang out and enjoy each others’ company. Everyone is so nice and helpful and we get to work together as a team.”

“When people come to HabiStore, the smiles on their faces to pick things out they need is remarkable,” said Marina.

As Marina is wrapping up her internship, HabiStore will forever leave an impression on her heart.
