Volunteer Opportunities
Thank you for considering spending your time with Habitat for Humanity Tucson! It’s important to us that you enjoy your experience volunteering with us.
Remember all volunteers must be 16 years of age or older and complete our new volunteer orientation before volunteering. You can sign up for our volunteer orientation here.
Please read about some of our volunteer opportunities below.
HabiStore
The HabiStore sells new and gently used building and home improvement materials, appliances and furniture to the public which helps support Habitat programs. If you enjoy customer service and being organized this is the place for you! Duties may include assisting customers, pricing merchandise, answering questions, inventory management, and cleaning the store. The HabiStore is open Monday through Friday from 9 a.m. to 5 p.m. and Saturday from 8 a.m. to 4 p.m..
You can volunteer for the entire day or for a four hour shift.

Construction
Our construction sites are open on Tuesday, Wednesday, Thursday, and Saturday. The activities of the day can vary and may include painting, drywall, framing, carpentry, roofing, electrical, plumbing, stucco prep, site clean-up, and landscaping. Instruction and tools are provided on site, no experience is necessary.
Volunteer shift start times for the year, starting on: January 1st, 7:30am; March 1st, 7:00am; June 1st, 6:30am; October 1st, 7:00am
We typically build for a 6 hour shift.
