The Gieselmann Family
Kristen’s lucky number is 11. She was born on the 11th and each of her three kids, Kaitlynn, Dillon and Trinity, were born in November. So, it’s only fitting that it was on an 11th day that her co-worker brought her a newspaper article about a Habitat family and encouraged her to look into it.
“I feel like this is a huge opportunity, a blessing, a miracle. Something I couldn’t do without [Habitat],” Kristen said.
“I’ve always felt stuck because I couldn’t move forward financially,” she says. “Single women, I feel, are always looking for a man to help them, and, financially speaking, it’s no longer a necessity [for us]. And that’s a big freedom.”
Kristen is very excited about her partnership with Habitat. She said whenever she hears the song called “Good People,” by Jack
Johnson, that asks ‘where did all the good people go?’ she thinks, “I found them, they’re at Habitat!”
“I’m going to make it and, not only did I make it, but it’s going to be great!” she said.
