For Anna Gardner, it’s always been about her twin daughters, Alexandria and Gabriella, 11.  When she found out she was pregnant, Anna was in the Army and facing a deployment to the Middle East, an area where she would not be able to bring her daughters.  So, when the girls were just four months old, Anna found herself out of the military and driving from Tennessee to Arizona to stay with friends and family.

Since then, Anna attended Pima Medical Institute where she became a Medical Assistant.  During the next three years she attended Brown Mackie College at night to earn her bachelor’s degree in Criminal Justice.

Anna is currently working as a Patient Service Technician.

“I’m so happy they won’t be in an apartment any more.  I want them to have a house,” Anna said of her daughters. “My kids are very excited.  They’re inseparable, they still want to share a room even though now they could have their own.”
