Sponsor a Home

Habitat for Humanity Tucson builds between 15 and 20 homes each year for local, hard working families. Each home is made possible by individual and business sponsors.

A full home sponsorship is $85,000; however this doesn’t cover all of the costs associated with building a Habitat home. Government sources and entrepreneurial earned revenue provide $40,000 in gap support.

Benefits of sponsoring a Habitat Home may include:
  • The opportunity to help build homes, neighborhoods and hope for deserving families in your community
  • Sponsor signage on the lot sign at your home that remains up for the duration of the build and is viewed by 4,000+ volunteers and neighbors throughout the year
  • Print and Broadcast media exposure associated with Habitat
  • Recognition of sponsorship on habitattucson.org
  • Recognition of sponsorship in Habitat’s newsletter

Habitat for Humanity Tucson is proud of our on-going relationship with Cox Communications.

“Believe it or not, we have encountered some resistance to having a Habitat home in a few neighborhoods,” stated Michael McDonald, Habitat’s Executive Director.  “Several years ago, Cox Communications helped us successfully launch the “Yes In My BackYard” – or YIMBY – Campaign so that we could get the word out about the benefits of homeownership to the community.”

This campaign fits Cox Communications goal of implementing a business plan that dramatically and measurably improves the community for their customers, employees and the general public by focusing on the following areas:
•    Developing high-skilled, high-wage jobs
•    Developing downtown
•    Enhancing quality of life such as health care, arts and culture
•    Improving education
•    Improving government
